- •Instagram Business or Creator account (not Personal)
- •Facebook Page linked to the Instagram account
- •Admin access to both
Setup
How to set up Instagram

Convert to Business or Creator account
On Instagram mobile: Settings → Account → Switch to Professional. Choose Business or Creator. Personal accounts cannot use the Messaging API.

Link to a Facebook Page
Settings → Account → Linked Accounts → Facebook. Connect the Page representing your business.

Enable DM access
Settings → Privacy → Messages → Allow access to messages.

Connect in Fiko
Fiko dashboard → Channels → Instagram → Connect. Sign in to Facebook and authorize permissions.

Test with a DM
Send a DM from a personal account. Watch the AI reply or the workflow trigger.
